This has been an unusually cold summer in Seattle. Or perhaps I have only been around for unusually warm summers. July was filled with highs in the low 70s, drizzling rain over the 4th of July, and all attempts to cling to every last ray of sunshine that graced us over these precious couple of months.
It's slowly warming up in Seattle, but unfortunately not enough to put away my sweaters. We're in that period of June where a couple days are magnificent and sunny. Then, just as we claim that summer is finally here, the clouds roll in to break up the party.
In spite of the fickle weather, I have spent a lot of time shopping for sneakers for the true beginning of Seattle summer...which is somewhere around July 4th.
